At the End of the 20th Century, and with the uncertainty of the new Millennium, the desire of C.P. Company to create innovative practical clothes for the urban resident, led to the development of the cult jacket Metropolis, which became part of the line of Urban Protection. The main aim was to create a whole line of items, which could be transformed in protection if necessary. The Metropolis jacket featured a removable anti-smog face mask that was adjustable through openings in the hood; this unique detail made the piece instantly recognisable in C.P. Company collection.
The radical new design also featured a multitude of other functional details for use in an urban environment, such as double opening wind protection pockets that were designed to contain the wearer’s documents, mobile phone, or ‘pocket PC’.In addition to functional innovations, the material used in the jacket manufacture was innovative. He became nylon-based Dynalfil TS-70, which made the jacket very wear-resistant, water-resistant and even oil-proof.
In such skeptic time, the brand has envisioned the “NEXT LANDSCAPE” an overarching concept developed by designer Paul Harvey for FW020 Collection. The collection and the environment represent a hopeful image of future urban landscape, in which nature is given the space to grow back vitally and spontaneously amongst the essential architectural forms of the city. It brings a message of a positive future that could be attained with certain measures.
Inspired by conceptual ideas of life in urban settlement, C.P. Company Collaborated with various artists from all over the world suggesting what the future represents to them what could be the “NEXT LANDSCAPE”. Artists are the representative of urbanites that stands for a cause and envisions the adaptability for a better tomorrow. It also interprets the needs of new urban generation which conceives a future in harmony to the natural world. The project sets to encourage the audience throughout the world.
Marracash was selected by C.P. Company as the only Italian key artist to share vision and perspectives regarding global changes. The brand believes that Marracash can be the most authoritative person in its segment to consciously transfer an independent point of view on a topic relevant to C.P. Company for some time, well before the emergency ran its course.
