A milestone in C.P. history, garment dyeing, is also a defining moment in the history of sportswear. This name was given to a specific process – pioneered by Massimo Osti and his collaborators for C.P. Company in the early 1970s – in which a garment is only dyed as a final manufacturing step, subsequent to being fully-fashioned, as opposed to the conventional method of manufacturing garments from pre-dyed fabrics.
As a master in garment dyeing, C.P Company will take part at the first edition of HYPEFEST, in Brooklyn, on October 6th and 7th 2018. Created by HYPEBEAST LTD, Hypefest will be the very first experiential platform bringing the best of art, creativity, fashion, music and more about the conversion of culture in an engaging and immersive way.
Throughout the two days show, C.P. Company will collaborate with NOWHERE FC, the American collective born in Manhattan that over the years has reinvented the idea of football jerseys. The movement is built on the foundation of the multi-cultural diversity of NYC reshaping the idea of football with an independent point of view, collaborating with a range of brands, artist and athletes with a D.I.Y and artful approach. Football culture and the expertise is dyeing processes are the strong links that have made this co-lab real. During the event the stand will host a standalone garment dyeing lab, with 2 fully operating Tonello tumblr dyeing machines with a technician who will run the lab, doing sampling, colour and dyeing testing on the go. At the same time Nowehere Fc will run a customization area, offering the possibility to buy bespoke dyed C.P. COMPANY Google jacket, Polo shirts and bucket hats – exclusively made for the festival. All items will be customized with patches and embroideries – real one-of-a-kind pieces.
The lab will serve multiple purposes during the Festival, sharing brand’s know-how on fabrics and material research, but most of all it will give the chance to all the attendees to experiment live the garment dying process. With the participation at Hypefest first edition, C.P. Company wants to communicate his status as a leader in garment and increase brand awareness in the American market.
