Avril8790 Fall Winter 2019 2020 Collection continues to explore the expressive potential of knitwear, letting themselves be inspired by the hypnotic and surreal atmospheres of the forest masterfully imagined and narrated by Twin Peaks, the visionary television series icon of the1990s.
The “territory” in which the creations of Avril8790 inhabit is that of the mountain forest, an imaginary “Woodland”, an ideal place to celebrate the ancestral relationship with nature: the milky winter light that filters through the fog settles on everything, contributing to accentuate its melancholy and mysterious strength, opening up a plot of suspension in the fabric of space-time, a threshold through which to look out onto the dreamlike and immaterial universe.
The tartan motif, a process that the collective imagination associates with the mountain landscape, represents one of the key elements of the collection: declined in cashmere and in colors with a strong chromatic impact. The tartan series are characterized by typical Avril8790 graphic grafts: zig-zag designs, contrasting lines and “alien” graphic effects make break-in incursions that break into the world of dreams, bringing back to the reality of a contemporary street style.
Avril8790 is characterised by a dreamy aesthetic that is at times destabilising as only the indefinable substance of which are made, can be made material and thanks to the interpretation of precise streetwear needs, concealing at the same time at luxury soul as much as regards the attention to details and materials, the result of the expertise and craftsmanship of Made in Italy.
