AQUASCUTUM ACTIVE: BRITISH HERITAGE, CONTEMPORARY SPIRIT
2026 marks a symbolic milestone for Aquascutum: the brand celebrates 175 years of history
and the 50th anniversary of the Club Check, the iconic pattern introduced in 1976 as the lining
of trench coats and, over time, becoming a distinctive signature of Aquascutum’s identity. An
anniversary that highlights a journey built on innovation, functionality, and timeless style—one
that continues to evolve in response to contemporary needs while maintaining a strong
connection to its sartorial heritage.
It is within this ongoing dialogue between tradition and modernity that Aquascutum Active Fall
Winter 26/27 takes shape, expressing the evolution of the brand’s technical heritage. From the
invention of the raglan sleeve to the concept of modular garments, and even to the very
definition of waterproof outerwear, the brand has historically anticipated functional needs
through design, consistently balancing performance and elegance.

Today, these foundations are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, guided by a design
vision conceived for everyday life. Aquascutum Active is neither sportswear nor traditional
classic apparel, but a form of technical elegance that translates British heritage into modern,
urban solutions relevant to today’s market.
Outerwear remains the core of the FW 26/27 collection. Innovation is expressed through high-
performance, breathable padding developed with Thermore® technology, ensuring thermal
comfort, moisture management, and adaptability to different climates. Each garment is designed
to keep pace with contemporary life, combining advanced performance with refined
construction.

The collection stands out for its selection of highly innovative materials: Lamina-N, an
iridescent nylon that reacts to ambient light, adds depth and visual dynamism, while Tri-Shield
fabric offers a fully waterproof, insulated, high-performance shell engineered to provide total
protection without compromising aesthetics. Technical ripstop and sport-inspired materials are
reinterpreted with a restrained, functional approach, enhanced by iconic details such as the
Club Check—reimagined through discreet piping and inserts—and contrast-piped pockets,
reintroduced as distinctive elements applied across multiple product categories, from
outerwear to jersey.
Developed by Aquascutum Active’s in-house design team, the FW 26/27 collection reflects a
shared creative direction shaped through ongoing dialogue with Alessandro Pungetti. His
contribution has supported the evolution of a more cross-disciplinary and contemporary brand
language, aligned with Aquascutum Active’s design values and focused on quality, functionality,
and formal rigor.
